The Simplest Audio / Sound Editor

This software is worth a mention because nothing comes close to being the best (and Free) digital Sound Editor in the world.

Though I never use it for myself, it will be my first choice in my mind if I ever wanted to do any of the things below:

• Cut, copy, splice or mix sounds (in real-time) together.
• Remove static, hiss, hum, background noises from your recordings.
• Change the pitch without altering the speed, or vice-versa.
• Apply effects to your recordings. Such as bass boost, wah wah, noise removal etc.
• etc etc... various other advance features which I don't really understand are not listed here :)

It is a multi-platform software means it can run on Windows, Mac, Linux, Unix etc.
