Sometimes you want to burn family videos into DVD so that you can play it on a DVD player. Here's the simplest way to do it :) I used to have nightmares trying to get my videos into DVD..
PS: If you haven't installed any codec packs on your PC, you should install K-lite Mega Codec Pack beforehand so that it has all the necessary codecs to convert your videos.
1) Install and launch DVD Flick.
2) Click 'Add title' to add your videos to be burnt; you can add multiple videos to a single DVD as long as they don't exceed the capacity (indicated on left hand side bar).
3) Next click on 'Edit title', here are a few settings that you need to be aware of. Skip to step 4 if you're lazy or not sure what to do here.
- General -> Aspect Ratio: Select Normal or Widescreen TV.
- Chapters: Create chapters by setting total no. of chapters you want, or by time.
- Subtitles: Add subtitles to your DVD if you have the subtitle file. You could download subtitle files for movies at http://www.opensubtitles.org for free.
4) Now click 'Project settings', important settings explained below.
- General -> Target size: Set your DVD size.
- Video -> Target format: Set your DVD format, either NTSC or PAL (check your DVD player)
- Burning (Important): Check 'Create ISO image' to create a virtual DVD in your harddisk drive that can be burnt to DVD later. If you want to burn it straight to DVD, check 'Burn project to disc' and select your DVD burner drive and speed. If you uncheck both, the program will still create the 'VIDEO_TS' and 'AUDIO_TS' folders which are standard folders for any DVD (Just burn these two folders to your DVD manually and it will work fine).
5) Click 'Create DVD' to start converting!
